Finance Controller - Real Estate - CA

Looking for a dynamic and excellent result oriented finance professional who has worked in start ups and a Real estate experience

Job Description

1. Accounting and reporting

- Ensuring timely accounting (AR, AP, GL and Capex) and month-end reporting.

- Establishing formal accounting policies and procedures for the Line of Business concerned.

- Timely completion of statutory and tax audit.

- Absolute control and ownership on the capital expenditure. Ability to collaborate across functions and driving overall project management for new facilities being constructed from a Finance standpoint.

- Ability to assess funding requirement for the projects. Ability to work with the banking partners for line of credit, borrowing needs etc. Managing the Treasury function.

- Record intercompany transactions as part of monthly financial reporting / close process.

2. Compliance

- Supports completion of local, state and government reporting requirements including tax filings (Direct and Indirect tax)

- Support compliance with Special Economic Zone requirements.

- Maintenance of records to enable compliance with the tax incentive schemes

- Supporting tax assessments and preparing reports for tax rationalization and lower withholding requests.

3. Reporting function

- Provide reporting support to the F P& A team post the book close.

- Complete control over capital commitment and the ability to generate financial reports by various dimensions.

- Prepare customer wise reporting

- Provide reports needed internally for investor reporting and reporting to bankers.

He/she should be able to think out of the box and challenge the status quo while being extremely well organized and detailed oriented with demonstrated follow-up skills. There should be evidence of a high degree of attention to detail and focus on the integrity of accounting and reporting of financial transactions and results.

He/she will have strong stakeholder service skills, for both internal and external stakeholders. They will demonstrate a proven ability to engage with stakeholders across the business and provide critical input to business teams. It must be a strong problem and have conflict resolution skills. This individual must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to partner with internal and external parties to drive resolution and continual progress.

Professional Experience

- Strong financial aptitude with Min 8 years of work experience in Corporate Finance with MNCs/GICs, with preference to Real Estate industry, focused on General Accounting, Financial Reporting, and other transactional Finance activities.

- Experience in the development and implementation of internal accounting processes as part of a - start-up- operation

- Working knowledge of local Indian financial reporting and tax compliance requirements

- Strong working experience in Tally and Navision/Microsoft Dynamics.

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

- Maturity/handling confidential information

- Maintaining the regulations

Strong working experience in General Accounting / Financial Reporting processes including involvement with the following:

- General Accounting

- Financial Reporting

- Accounts receivable

- Accounts Payable

- Fixed Assets

- Banking

- The candidate would play a major role in both statutory and tax audit while ensuring timely completion of audit with no audit observation

- The candidate would be responsible to ensure appropriate financial control and handle ICFR regulations

- Possesses strong analytical skills to analyze and interpret budget variances.

Educational Credentials

- Chartered Accountant with (with 6-8 years- experience)
