Finance Controller - Industrial

The Organization:

Legal entity of an American Fortune 500 industrial conglomerate. The India businesses of the group have a consolidated revenue of several hundred million dollars and are expected to grow exponentially over the next two years given their growth plans and their philosophy of acquisitions. The organization is highly respected globally for their robust career development processes and growth opportunities across group companies.

The role:

Reporting to the Senior Director - Finance in Europe and to the India Managing Director, the India Controller will lead the local team and focus on the following areas mentioned below for all India related operations for the organization. These include business units and support functions. As a key member in the management team, he/she will be instrumental in maintaining a sound control environment consistent with company business practice, and partnering with local commercial leaders through planning and analysis of financial and commercial data to help drive business needs.

1. A sound control environment

a. Group business practices

b. Statutory compliance

c. SOX, Internal audit, and Independent audit

2. Business Partnership

a. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP+A)

b. Decision support

c. Optimizing profitability and working capital

3. Accounting Operations

a. Effective and Efficient processes.

b. Internal and statutory financial statement compliance
