Finance Controller - Education - CA

- Oversee and manage the overall accounting and finance functions including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, compliance.

- Financial Planning & Projections.

- Investor & Stakeholder Liaison, Reporting & Updates.

- Final Overview of all internal ledgers, CFS, BS and P&L.

- Org Level and Sales Unit Level P&L Reviews.

- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports.

- Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of all financial transactions.

- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against the budget. Coordinate and lead the annual audit process with external auditors.

- Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts. Prepare financial modeling for various strategic initiatives.

- Oversee the tax planning and compliance with federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes.

- Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.

- Serve as a key point of contact for external stakeholders on financial matters.

- Provide leadership and direction to the finance and accounting team.

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Qualifications and Skills:

- CA with 7+ years of experience and has also worked in startup environments.

- Proven experience in a financial controller position or equivalent.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and legislation. Proficiency in financial management software.

- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to strategize and solve complex problems.

- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
