About the role:

- Title: Finance Controller (IC role)

- Location: Mumbai

- Reporting to: Founder

- Qualification: CA

Key areas:

1) Finance Operations:

- Set up the correct system and processes for Accounting in line with accounting standards and periodic closure of books.

- Directing and tracking the operations of the receivable and payable cycle at an optimum level ensuring financial liquidity.

- Fixed Assets Accounting & records management.

- Managing revenue recognition, vendor payables, and daily payment operations.

- Set up Internal Financial Controls for the company and ensure compliance with the same

- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support various business initiatives, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in the development of strategic and financial plans, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

- Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the company's financial health and operational efficiency.

- Perform variance analysis, trend analysis, and other financial assessments to identify areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

2) Finance Compliance:

- Handle statutory Compliances for the Company, including the Companies Act, Professional Tax TDS, GST, etc

- Facilitate and support due diligence for fundraise, internal audits and tax audits

- Steering overall costing for the organization and evaluating compliance to various legislative laws applicable to business

3) Financial Reporting:

- Prepare and present financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders and investor presentations.

- Timely submission of management reports such as cash flow statements, profit, and loss statements, investor reporting, subsidiary reporting, and financial statements.

- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
