Compostable tableware: Their tableware is made from sugarcane waste (bagasse) and is completely compostable. This means that it can be composted in a backyard compost bin or in a commercial composting facility.

Compostable food packaging: They also offer a variety of compostable food packaging solutions, including food trays, bowls, and lids. These products are made from sugarcane waste and are also 100% compostable.

Flexi pack development: Our Client is currently working on developing compostable flexible packaging solutions. This is a significant challenge, as traditional flexible packaging is made from non-compostable materials. However, they are committed to developing sustainable alternatives that will help to reduce the amount of plastic waste that goes to landfills and incinerators.

Summary:

Our client is in search of an experienced and strategic Finance Controller to join their team. As the Finance Controller, you will hold a pivotal role in managing the financial health and performance of our company. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing all financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Additionally, you will manage the accounting department staff and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight and Management:

- Oversee all company accounts and investments, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

- Manage cash flow effectively by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.

- Supervise and manage the financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative environment.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

- Create monthly and annual reports to identify financial results, trends, and forecasts, providing insights into the company's financial performance.

- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported, maintaining transparency and adherence to accounting standards.

- Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation, ensuring the company operates within legal and ethical boundaries.

Strategic Financial Planning and Leadership:

- Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports, aligning financial strategies with the company's growth objectives.

- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to identify cost reduction opportunities, optimizing resource allocation and enhancing profitability.

- Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies, maintaining data integrity and preventing financial errors.

Continuous Improvement and Collaboration:

- Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing, streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency.

- Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations, - maintaining a strong internal control environment.

- Present timely and accurate financial information/reports to senior management, stakeholders, and board members, keeping them informed and facilitating informed decision-making.

Education Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or equivalent. Candidates who have participated in a CPA (Certified Practicing Accountants) or CA (Chartered Accountants) program will be preferred.

Experience:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with a background in a Manufacturing Organization considered an advantage.

- Exposure in audits and compliance-oriented processes.
