Finance Controller - Commercial - FMCG/FMCD/Retail

Objective : The company is looking for a finance professional who can take charge of the operational finance related to suppliers and customers. This includes managing supplier and customer accounting, conducting real-time account reconciliations, collaborating with various internal stakeholders, and implementing strategies to optimize working capital in terms of payables and receivables.

Prior qualifications/skill sets :

- Chartered Accountant / MBA - Finance

- 05-08 years experience in the finance function

- Proven experience in managing supplier and customer relationships and resolving financial issues.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and commercial finance operations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.

- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant applications.

- Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

- Led and managed the commercial finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

- Oversee the supplier and customer side accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards.

- Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supplier relations, sales, and operations, to streamline processes and improve overall financial efficiency.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers, addressing any financial queries or concerns promptly.

- Develop and implement strategies to optimize working capital, including extending payables and improving receivables turnover.

- Monitor cash flow and liquidity positions, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

- Prepare financial reports, presentations, and analytics for leadership, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
