Job title: FC - RETAIL (Cosmetics)

Position based in: Dubai
Position expectations
The position is responsible for all the accounting, banking & treasury operations, MIS, legality, statutory compliances, stock control, placing controls & systems in all the Retail stores in various locations & countries and at the Group consolidated level. The position will be assisted in all markets by competent Accountants.
Key Accountabilities:
Monthly Financial statements: Cash Flow, Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet of all individual stores and the consolidated position.
- Monthly MIS and ratio analysis.
- Finalization of annual accounts.
- Interacting with Internal and External Auditors.
- Costing and Cost-Benefit Analysis.
- Approving all price changes and FOC's.
- Purchase of forex in all markets.
- Ensuring positive paid stocks are maintained at all times.
- Managing 3rd currency covers.
- Managing the cash flows in the markets.
- Opex and Capex budget preparations.
- Monthly review of actual performance versus budget for Opex and Capex highlighting trends and variations.
- Cost monitoring and cost cutting initiatives.
- Asset custodian: Responsible for proper accountability and safeguard of all the assets.
- Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of monthly payrolls for all the locations.
- Responsible for all overseas payments.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable transactional and payroll taxes: deductions, remittances and filing of returns.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all statutory returns like VAT, WHT, PAYE, Pension remittances, etc.
- Compliance of Joint Venture agreements.
- Preparation of Project Feasibility Reports for new markets.
- Monthly business review meetings and site visits.
- Principal Claims, follow-up and timely settlement.
- Take adequate insurance covers to mitigate business risks and threats.
- Interaction with prospective principals, business partners and expansion projects.
- Manage, coach, support and develop Accounts staff at various locations.
- Setting clear objectives & KPI's for the staff on ground.
- Provide support to the management and drive an agenda of value-add decision-making, contributing to managing the stores more efficiently.
- Be a valued member of the Finance community sharing best practices within the group.

Role Requirements
Experience / Attainments
- A qualified Chartered Accountant.
- At least 10 years of work experience with a minimum of 5 years in the Retail industry.
- A track record of improving processes, systems and ways of working.
Skills / Knowledge
- Commercial awareness / interest.
- Demonstrable technical ability both in finance and IT (Excel and MIS systems).
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- People management skills.
- Good understanding of the Cosmetics retail industry.
