About our Client : Our client is a leading Luxembourg based MNC that has been successfully leading the market through a very high quality product value proposition for the past 40 years. Their core business is within battery component manufacturing - an industry whose agenda they drive globally through R&D as well as Operational Excellence.

Having recently acquired a large majority stake in a well known domestic player, their presence now includes 5 plants, run from their Regional hub in Kharagpur - home to leading global giants. Amer-Sil continues to enjoy strategic partnerships with these global firms within this geographical cluster, in addition to its leading academic institutes.

Due to this expansion in their footprint and double digit percentage growth year on year, a new position has become available.

Job Description :

- This newly created Finance Leadership role plays a critical part in the growth of the firm, pan-India.

- Reporting to senior stakeholders locally and to the Global Finance Head based out of Luxembourg.

- Key deliverables of the role include working closely with the leading stakeholders, ensuring effective business partnership from the Finance function.

- Ensuring that proper accounting, reporting, costing, controllership and finance systems are set in place across all the five entities to promote robust and compliance finance operations.

- Lead the implementation of existing ERP in other entities to increase process visibility from production to sales. Prepare & present financial reports for the MD, senior stakeholders in India & Europe as well as communication to shareholders.

- Formulate and Implement strategies to ensure the growth in margins while minimizing the cost while also ensuring rigorous cash management & inventory control.

The Successful Candidate :

- The successful Chartered Accountant will have at least 8-10 years of post-qualification experience & come from a manufacturing or industrial background where they have a strong track record of effectively managing the finance function along with an experience of leading a diverse team of people.

- You would also be an influential communicator and a team player to encourage open communication and cooperation among your team and facilitate a transparent insight to the senior shareholders.

- Due to the location constraints of Kharagpur our client would like those candidates who take a longer term view and are able to deal autonomously with business issues & are able to operate in a remoter locations where sophisticated support is not always readily available. Hence the ability to think on your feet and be a solution provider is essential.
