Looking for a Finance Controller for Africa, with one of our client into FMCG industry who will be responsible for finance and accounting activities .  Education : CA/ICWA   Work Experience : 15+ years of work experience  Job profile :  - Define policies (in co-ordination with Corporate Center) on areas which the current accounting policies do not exist or needs modification. Review the financial and management accounts on a monthly basis with the FM before the same is submitted to Corporate Center.  - Plan & co-ordinate with the internal auditors for the remit, scope and the areas to be covered for the internal audit plan for the Origin and ensure its implementation for the product.  - Financial evaluation of projects and post implementation review of the projects.  - Asses the financial imperatives of the various strategic initiatives of the businesses.  - Adapts the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to the origin - clarify in case there is a conflict between the Corporate Center SOP and Country level SOP.  - Seek the agreement from OPS on implementation of SOP.  - Clear issues in terms of non-adherence to SOP - provide constructive feedback to CC on SOP revision / modification in view of the changing business environment.  - Anchor annual budgeting exercise and ensure that the businesses have a rational assumption basis for the budget.  - Ensure proper Country level profit planning at the origin.  - Determines the structure of the department in tandem with the business plan - manpower planning and recruitment as per the plan.  - Ensures adequate manpower is available of the required quality as and when required.  - Ensure proper training and induction for the new recruits - monitor their progress and ensure their settlement on the job quickly.  - Motivate team for higher performance.  - Develop FM ( Finance Manager) to take independent charge of the monthly accounts and reporting to CC (should not collapse when FC is traveling or on leave).  - Designs proper hierarchy within the department and adequate supervision on the staff.  - Conducts appraisal of the team with the systems (both operational and accounting.  - Working capital management  - Ensure smooth funding for the running of the businesses and for the new business opportunities.  - Ensure effective foreign exchange management at the origin as per the group policy.
