Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Prepare and analyze management reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Summarize budget trends, analyzing variances and identifying areas for improvement.
- Consolidate financial statements for all group companies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Work closely with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during the audit process.
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal control policies and procedures, with a focus on strengthening spending controls.
- Manage cash flow, forecasting needs, and ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of various management reports, tailoring them to meet the needs of different departments.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including tax regulations and reporting deadlines.
- Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing coaching and mentorship to ensure high-quality work.
- Partner with business unit leaders to understand their financial needs and provide strategic financial guidance.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and emerging trends in financial management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10-12 years of experience in a relevant industry.
- Proven track record of success in financial management with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address financial risks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of accounting professionals.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
- Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
