CA - Finance Controller

Job Duties & Responsibilities :

- Ensure the month, quarter, and annual financial statement close process is free of material errors and omissions while sticking to agreed-upon timelines

- Collaborate with US Team in building consolidated revenue and expense forecasts

- Participate in building investor and board materials pertinent to Asia Pacific matters

- Ensure Asia Pacific Financial statements are ready for external audits

- Oversee all statutory filing requirements

- Regularly review forecasted cash flow and ensure cash balances are within budget

- Generate ideas for and implement updates and improvements to accounting systems, processes, and controls.

- Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, compliance, and financial procedures.

- Ensure AR and AP metrics are healthy

- Prepare monthly and quarterly flux analysis

- Provide mentoring and support to the existing team.

- Be the first point-of-contact for local financial relationships.

- Review commercial terms & conditions of Agreements, Commercial Contracts, Service Agreements. Make judgment calls as to whether external legal counsel is necessary

- Be a role model within the organisation

Qualifications :

- 5+ years within an accounting field with 2+ years managing people

- Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant (US), or local equivalents

- Experience with ERP systems and willing to become the Administrator for the APAC region.

- Very strong analytical, time-management, interpersonal and communication skills

- Experience working with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues

- Experience within a startup or other extremely fast paced environments
