Job Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: - Review of monthly financial statements comprising balance sheet schedules and P&L variance analysis on monthly basis - Maintaining integrity and accuracy of financial reporting statements - Review of Accounting policies and Notes to accounts on annual basis and ensuring compliances with the regulations - Ensuring compliance with Banking regulations, SEBI LODR, Companies act with regard to preparation of financial statements - Review of Other Assets and Other liabilities schedules in detail and ensuring that reconciliation and ageing issues (if any) are brought to the right Forum for closure. - Review of GL-Sub GL reconciliation of Advances and Deposits Credit Cost and Capital Adequacy Review: - Reviewing credit cost comprising NPA, Restructuring and Standard asset provision on monthly basis - Credit cost projection and monitoring the same to avoid any surprises at the month end - Ensuring compliance with IRAC and Restructuring guidelines prescribed by the RBI - Ensuring compliance with RBI requirement on Automation of NPA recognition and provisioning - Review of Capital and Risk weighted assets computation to ensure that the same is in compliance with the RBI guidelines - Collaborating with the business teams and monitoring Capital requirement on ongoing basis Audit: - Liaison with statutory auditors to ensure timely closure of audit with no surprises - Ensuring timely submission of information to concurrent and internal auditors - Coordinating with RBI inspection team to ensure timely submission of all information Regulatory Reporting: - Review of NDTL and CRR/SLR workings on fortnightly basis - Ensuring timely and accurate submission of RBI returns - Ensuring timely submission of other adhoc information sought by the RBI - Timely review of RBI returns by the concurrent auditors and ensuring no surprises in the review - Review of IND AS financials for submission to RBI on half yearly basis Taxation: - Ensuring timely payment of GST liability and submission of GST returns - Ensuring timely payment of TDS liability and submission of TDS returns - Responding to all notices received by Direct and Indirect tax department - Providing clarification sought by the internal departments on direct and indirect taxation - Ensuring no surprises in the GST and Tax audit - Ensuring no leakage in the GST input and reconciliation of the same on monthly basis - Submission of all Income Tax and Other annual returns on time Vendor Payment and Procurement: - Overseeing vendor payment and procurement function - Ensuring timely payment to vendors and ensuring the same is supported by relevant documentation and approval - Ensuring Purchase orders and Rate contracts are issued/renewed in a timely manner. Education: CA is mandatory Work Experience: Preferred candidate will be from Banking industry only. Other industry candidates need not apply.
