Main Purpose:

- To provide a high quality management reporting and financial control environment for a Business Unit of Xchanging sector comprising: Global Offshore BPO, Global ITO, Singapore, Malaysia and India region business. Ensuring that existing contracts are managed tightly and appropriately from a commercial perspective.

- To develop and maintain excellent relationships with key internal and external users of finance team output.

- To assist in the development of the business providing the financial support to aid decision making and drive the business forward to a successful future.

- To guide and work along side pursuit teams in structuring commercials and determining pricing for proposals and bids across the sector.

Specific Duties:

- Management and control of costs, reporting and analysis of results at various levels – customer wise, service line wise, geography wise, business unit wise and feed in to consolidated sector level reporting.

- Working together with other members of finance team across other business units in the sector and in other roles such as accounting to improve, design and roll out more incisive processes and systems to enable reporting with greater level of detail and incisiveness.

- Preparation of annual plan, budget and quarterly re-forecasting that captures the trajectory of the business with sufficient visibility at customer level – interacting with various business owners to ensure adequate inputs have been obtained and resultant budget / forecast takes into account the impact of all initiatives being considered for implementation.

- Control and reporting of cash-flow against budgets / forecasts and ensuring high level of cash conversion is delivered.

- Responsibility for the month end reporting process ensuring robust and accurate financials and clear understanding of the business financial performance.

- Contract management to ensure against revenue leakage and working together with the business to identify and fix wasteful resource allocations. Ensure financial activities on accounts are aligned and delivered to the contract, including timely invoicing and collections. In case of fixed price projects, track, report and control projects per schedule slippages and overall economics of the project.

- Preparation of business case, working alongside sales and pursuit teams to guide on solutions, in structuring pricing / commercials for proposals and bids across the sector. Ensure contracts and change control documentation is appropriately in place for proper financial control of projects.

- These roles will front-end negotiations on domestic and international deals and should be well versed with managing international customers.

- Work alongside pursuit teams to drive commercial, legal aspects during contract negotiations, directly with the customer. Also serving in Project Governance structure for respective business units as escalation point for customer on commercial, billing aspects.

- Direct financial support to Finance Director, Managing Director of Sector and management team of the business unit including regular communication in respect of business performance, customers issues, opportunities etc

Essential Criteria:

- B.Com or B.E with CA qualification, or MBA / PGDBM from reputed institute.

- Ability to engage in discussions pertaining to “process” and define process.

- Analytical, self motivated, confident, bold and decisive.

- Highly Numerate coupled with a high attention to detail

- Excellent oral and written communication skills combined with an ability to engage with senior internal and external stakeholders.

- Currently in pre-sales type roles in pricing and involved in some sort of contract negotiations.

- Highly Proficient in Excel, Word and Power-point.

- High level of business and commercial awareness.

- Overall experience of 7-10 years with mix of business finance and pricing / commercials exposure, minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in pre-sales type roles developing P&L for new contracts, structuring and negotiating deal commercials, including international contracts.

- SAP Financials

- Hyperion financials.
