KARfA website: https://karfa.online Role Summary We are looking for a Co-founder to head the technology and online operations of our start-up in the domain of online fashion retail. You must have the mindset of an entrepreneur willing to power a bootstrapped e-commerce venture. You must have the energy and the vision to pick up the ropes and run. Geekery is welcome! You must have a sound understanding and knowledge of the technology function back-end, front-end, architecture, database, big data analysis, and in all other areas that would enable us to be at the forefront of technology innovation in our domain. You should be a leader someone who leads the team through example and is invested in mentoring team members. Deep interest and appreciation of fashion is a definitive plus to leverage business differentiation using various technologies or combinations of these. Your goal will be to ensure strong engineering processes that will aid in timely and efficient product release and updates, excellent user experience, hassle-free shopping experience, and to ensure the long-term success of our company by improving customer loyalty, greater conversion rate, and higher average purchase size. You will be responsible for leading an engineering team that is ahead of the technology curve, as well as setting strategic goals for creating the most successful next-generation e-commerce products for a global audience. All your actions must be guided by the company's vision and culture. Key / Strategic Responsibilities - Ensuring alignment with the vision, aspirations, and goals of the founder. - Co-ordinate with in-house/outsourced tech team to ensure that the best solutions/practices are adopted. - Ensure that all new/existing development work is delivered on time. - Own technical and architectural decision-making. - Engage in developing technology business plans and budgets that support the short- and long-term growth and business objectives of the company. - Planning technical strategy, product roadmaps, resources requirement, and technology cost/budget. - Ensure excellent uptime for architecture, database, platform, and front-end applications for faster response time and 24/7 availability. - Deliver an excellent user experience to customers, ensuring a wow-full shopping experience. - Partner with business teams to deliver business needs and provide input to the strategic direction of product development, thereby influencing the business direction of new and existing products. - Lead automation of all key processes from the beginning itself, to achieve a very responsive business model with the ability to respond to customers needs at a speed better than most and to enable data-driven decision making. - Enable implementation of business strategies, plans, and procedures through the appropriate use of technology. - Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics. Key Requirements - Creative, multi-talented person with understanding of fashion, business, and technology. - In-depth understanding of UI/UX, and Digital Marketing. - Prior experience in eCommerce, big data, and/or data science is preferred but not necessary. - Excellent knowledge of latest technology developments, particularly in the areas of e-commerce, and blockchain technology. - Strong communication and analytical skill. - Excellent organizational and leadership skills - Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases, and information systems. - Good understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques. - Working knowledge of shopping platforms like Magento, Shopify, Amazon, etc. - Preference would be given to those who have training or interest in the fashion industry.
