BU Overview

Business Analytics & Research (BA&R), a part of FMR India, is a consulting and insights team that enables business leaders at Fidelity Investments to make informed decisions. The team uses a combination of business & investment research, advanced analytics and decision sciences to solve business problems at the operational, tactical and strategic level. The group has a high focus on leveraging big data and technology to facilitate critical decisions, and is in the process of setting-up a first of its kind big data lab in India. The group provides a unique exposure to the financial services industry spanning workplace investing, retail investing, institutional investing, asset management and private equity.

Role Description

Supporting the onshore senior management team with primary market research expertise (research & questionnaire design, sampling, data analysis, insights generation and reporting) and developing subject-matter expertise across sectors, domains and functions, in which Fidelity operates

Responsibilities:

- Be the primary point of contact for partner engagement and align delivery to partner requirements and expectations

- Support partners with primary market research expertise (research & questionnaire design, sampling, data analysis & reporting, insights generation)

- Conduct analysis based on research data independently (with minimal supervision), by applying various statistical concepts/ techniques like multiple regression, factor, cluster analysis, etc.

- Coach, guide, and mentor team members on business context, as well as day-to-day deliverables

- Collaborate with appropriate team/s to generate impactful insights for the business - well-rounded, integrated solution

- Partner with senior stakeholders to understand the scope and nature of projects, provide well-informed inputs, and see it through from inception-execution-impact/implementation

Candidate Description

- Program Management of certain key primary market research projects in Fidelity which would include working very closely with various groups - internal stakeholders, vendors and collaborating with other functions like the secondary research, marketing teams.

- Should possess a flair for quantitative and qualitative data analyses and interpretation

- Sound knowledge of key analysis/ statistical concepts & hands on experience with tools like SPSS, SAS, etc.

- Exposure/Knowledge to Advanced Excel/VBA cross-tabbing / online survey management / data visualization / database management / text analytics tools would be added advantages

- Effective presentation and story boarding skills with exposure to executive level presentations

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A - persuasive, influencing- communication style would be a plus.

- Strong work ethic in terms of time management and project ownership / accountability

- Flair for quantitative/ qualitative data analyses and interpretation

- Attention to detail

- Strong inter-personal skills to help collaborate across teams

Education and Experience

- MBA/Post-graduate qualification from top-tier institutions

- 5-8 years of relevant work experience in a research & insights role, either in the research function of an MNC KPO, or with a reputed research agency

- Proven experience in independently handling various kinds of research projects, client servicing, data interpretation & insights generation

- Experience and exposure to Qualitative research will be an added advantage

- Experience of handling large datasets will be a plus
