Fidelity - Data Visualization - Customer Knowledge & Strategic Insights Unit

Group/Project Overview:

The Customer Knowledge & Strategic Insights (CKSI) group focuses on delivering data driven analytics, Big Data/Artificial Intelligence technology and strategic integrated insights for driving customer loyalty and business growth. The Data Management and Analytic Platforms team manages the analytic infrastructure/ tools and delivers visualization and self-service insight solutions.

The individuals will have significant data analysis, process automation and development of visualization outputs largely centring on customer data. The position requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a data-rich environment to answer critical business questions posed by the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities:

As member of DMAP (Data Management and Analytical Platforms) team

- Work with stakeholders to create and analyse Use cases for a business problem or opportunity.

- Complete requirement analysis to identify and triage data elements (metrics/ attributes) that meet use case requirement

- Collaborate with SMEs to identify data sources and transformation logic.

- Work with stakeholders to recommend the right visual for presenting information using wireframes and post approval identify UI development needs

- Create back-end data model and associated technical specification for periodic data refreshes in an automated process

- Create visualization interface based on approved requirements

- Conduct stakeholder demos or walkthrough sessions and create user guides

- Deploy visual application on server, set up user access and monitor usage

Experience and Qualifications:

Education and Experience :

MCA, MBA (IT) or B.Sc. degree with minimum 2 years experience in Visualization, Data Management, SQL query development

Mandatory Skills/Knowledge

- Individual with the passion towards data and creativity to represent data using interactive tools.

- Expertise in data extraction methods using advanced SQL. Experience in building efficient data models

- Experience in ETL process from Oracle database

- Develop visualization applications using Qlikview and QliSense

- Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with global team members

- Zero defect execution/attention to detail - create process documents, quality check lists and make necessary amendments proactively as and when process change requested by the business

Desirable skills

- Experience in JAVA scripting for embedding add-on- s/extensions in visualization tools

- Experience in D3 Open Source charts

- Knowledge of ETL process to pull data from Hadoop/ Greenplum

- Knowledge of financial services industry preferred. Good business judgement and ability to recognize business implications of data.

- Prior experience of working in any other visualization tools.

- Understanding of Data Management/ Data Warehousing concepts
