Job Description: - We are looking for a person who has worked as a Project Manager on Medium / Large scale software application / product implementations performing the role of Project/ Program manager. - This person should have thorough knowledge of general project management framework and should be well versed in simple but distributed deliveries and implementations. - The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. - The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality of deliverables throughout its life cycle. This role is expected to be in billable roles as per the companies requirements for different client engagements. Responsibilities: - Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. - Identifies resources needs for the project and liaise with the respective resource owners to mobilize resources for the project. - Effectively applies and adheres to FICO project management methodology and enforces project standards. - Plan, Schedule and Track project timelines and delivery milestones using appropriate tools. - Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. - Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. - Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. - Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management. - Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis. - Manages project budget. - Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization. - Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly. - Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization. Required Skills and Experience - Bachelor/Master's degree with 12+ years of experience in software development and delivery. - MBA degree is a plus - Over 8 years of direct hands-on work experience as a primary Project Manager - Must be a certified PMP / PRINCE-2 or equivalent project management practices. - Must have prior work experience implementing software solutions at large Indian public and private sector banks, having managed 3 to 4 large or medium scale projects, as the project manager. - Experience in Agile delivery methodology is highly desirous - Ideal candidate will come from a MNC software consulting firm or Software vendor company - Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project, Rally, Jira, or NIKU is desirous. - Experience at working both as an individual contributor as well as in team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. - Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and Problem-solving capabilities. - Candidate should have strong interpersonal skills (Verbal and Written) and should possess ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial. - Should have handled cross cultural and functional virtual teams in a PM capacity - Knowledge of Scheduling and work estimating techniques - Communication and negotiation capabilities - Knowledge of Change Management Process, Risk and Issues Management Process.
