Associate Vice President (Agri Export)

A professional with minimum experience of 15 years and up to 5 years of managerial/project management experience in:

- Promotion/ Export of agro-based products and industry in Tamil Nadu/ India/ abroad.

- Enterprise(s) dealing with the export or imports of the goods or services produced/ provided by the enterprise

- Areas of food processing/ agri exports/new technology development.

Broad Job description:

- To enable the farmers of Tamil Nadu to reap the benefits of trade opportunities in overseas market integrating them with global food chain.

- To diversify the export basket, destinations and boost export from State by enhancing value addition and improving trade competitiveness.

- To promote the brand "Make in Tamil Nadu by empowering novel, indigenous, ethnic, organic products of the State.

- To provide support to stake holders for making product competitive in export market.

- To facilitate the agri exports through agro export facilitation centre in Guindy, Chennai and to take efforts for setting up exclusive agro export facilitation centres for products and monitor the performance of Agri export promotion cells.

- To promote product specific export zones like Moringa export zone and create processing facilities for the production of value-added products of Moringa.

- To get Geographical indication (GI) for potential products from the State.

- To award cash prize to best performing exporters and encourage first time exporters with financial assistance for lab test intended for exports

- To reduce the post-harvest wastage of agricultural produce

- To tap the maximum benefit out of Agri Export Policy of Government of India.
