Factory Manager - Food Processing/FMCG

The role could be a Factory Manager or Dy Factory Manager (subject to experience & scope of role managed). The client has 6 very large factories in India which manufacture multiple categories of food products including Buffalo MEAT which is primarily for export markets and has superior & internationally applicable quality standards.

Job Summary :

- Lead the factory to deliver timely production & shipping volume as per business plan at the optimum cost while ensuring adherence to all applicable statutory compliance's and also building the teams capability at the factory.

- Each plant employs between 1500-4000 manpower (depending on site) with very large utilities.

Key Responsibility Areas:

- Planning: Review the volume projections for the factory and devise the budgetary requirements. Ensure adherence towards the execution of the operational plans within the stipulated budgets and timelines.

- Process Improvement : Ensure overall quality improvement of processes and systems at the plant. Identify areas of possible improvement in the current manufacturing process. Assist factory teams to form cross functional teams to undertake process improvement initiatives

- Production : Ensure delivery of production volume as per defined timelines. Review production performance on various defined key performance indicators and carry out smooth and continuous production run.

- Quality Management: Ensure maintenance of quality standards with respect to products, processes and systems at the plants. Review and propose new capital investment and quality systems to implement quality initiatives.

- Plant Performance Evaluation: Review plant performance reports prepared by the plant teams with respect to consumption of power, people cost, manufacturing cost, production yield

- Maintenance Management: Ensure functionality and reliability of all utilities, line repairs and maintenance and budget on periodic basis.

- EHS (Environment, Health & Safety): Ensure compliance to all the EHS related guidelines at all times.

- Statutory Compliance (Manufacturing) : Understand the required regulatory guidelines and ensure timely accreditation of all certificates, licenses in areas such as pollution control norms, boiler control, FSSAI etc.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

- Engineering Graduate or Food Technologist with a minimum of 20 years of experience of which a minimum of 3 years as either head of a factory or Dy Factory head. Experience in Plant Management / Production Operations, Utilities & Maintenance. Persons with experience in factories employing large manpower would be preferred.

Target Industries:

- Foods, Agri, Food Processing, Fisheries, Dairy, Poultry, Alcho Bev, Beverages, Pharma. Non Food FMCG companies can also be considered.

- The compensation mentioned does not include value of Car and Housing which is provided in addition

Location:

They have multiple positions that could be based in either of the following locations :

- UP (Aligarh, Unnao, Sahibabad), Maharashtra (Aurangabad) or Telangana (Zaheerabad).
