JD: Designation: Head of Operations Reports To: The Managing Director Location: Lagos, Nigeria Age: 40 - 45 years About Company :&nbsp; A leading Indian MNC Group having a strong manufacturing infrastructure based in Africa and Asia and client foot prints across global markets with business verticals in Packaging solutions, Construction products &amp; services-Building Materials, FMCG (consumer packaged products),Energy, Chemicals etc. Eligibility Criteria : - Must be a Civil Engineer or Mechanical Engineer or Degree from related engineering field, MBA will be added advantage - 16 to 22 years in relevant field of operations / manufacturing of building materials especially related to cement /cement-based products, fibre cement roofing sheets &amp; wood replacement products. - Must have worked as a Factory head or Unit Head in a manufacturing company or from process industries. - Exposure to Mining (lime stone or some other mines operation) will be an added advantage, experience in Nigeria/ Africa would be an added advantage. - Power Generation (Captive power plant- 5 mega watt) supervisory exp will be added advantage Job Purpose : To achieve the production targets and objectives and maximize the absolute value addition / contribution at organization level through operational efficiency, leading a team of managers and officers Job Summary : The candidate will achieve ensure efficient manufacturing operations and aim to achieve 100% capacity utilization and optimize costs across PIL product lines (Cement, Fibre Cement sheets/ Boards, Building Products &amp; Accessories). Should be a go getter, and results-driven individual ready to take up challenges in a competitive environment &amp;utilize operations management concepts to optimize costs and maximise uptime. Roles and Responsibilities : - To develop and implement the business strategy and achieve the desired targets by accomplishing the overall objective of maximizing absolute value addition/ contribution through operational efficiency - Lead the team of divisional heads and production managers to achieve desired results through a culture promoting discipline, performance, safety and housekeeping - Work closely with the team to develop and manage local vendors - Establishing and maintaining good external relations with the host community - Maintain good relationship with the relevant ministries, statutory agencies and law enforcement agencies; ensure statutory compliance - Project Planning, Costing &amp; assist for feasibility studies for all upcoming projects - Identify Technology Providers &amp; Machinery suppliers - Prepare Technical Tenders and Evaluation of offers; - Technical negotiations and recommendation - Procurement of Plant and Machinery and Auxiliaries as per TIL and reorder levels - Site Co-ordination and Project Implementation. - Recruitment &amp; Training of Operating team - Raw Material and Consumables Planning - Production &amp; Quality Control - Plant Maintenance (Mechanical, Electrical &amp; Civil) - Technical Support for Product launching &amp; Marketing Attributes : - Should be able to understand and converse with stakeholders and influencers at various levels. Should have working knowledge of Excel, Word and power point presentations. - Exposure to ERP environment preferred. - The person should have patience and be able to develop good interpersonal skills &amp;team spirit. - Strong sense and ability to analyze operational data.
