Yes, I did every bit of it, from running a store, an area, P&amp;L responsibility for a city, opening new markets, heading regional operations, handling brands and finally now heading Marketing, barring the last line of para7 of the prophecy (someone needs to be careful ;) ). The CHRONICLES of REBEL FOODS Before detailing the Brand CEO role, it's paramount for you to understand as to what have we built over last so many years - a journey from a mere 100 restaurant food business to 1100+ restaurant business in sheer 24 months ( being the 2nd largest restaurant chain in the country, the 1st one took over 30 years to do so), more importantly a journey of disrupting food business across the globe and being the World's Largest Restaurant on Internet company by pioneering cloud kitchens &amp; multi-brand kitchen model (same non-visible location churning out multiple brands catering to different food missions and categories). Being ASLAN - By now it should be crystal clear to you that the tipping point in our journey has been the shift to cloud kitchen model and launching of new brands. - New BRANDS-, yes that's our holy grail of success and that's how significant they are to our existence. And the success or failure of these brands lie on ONE and only ONE person - Brand Managers, which is why we call them Brand CEOs because the role is much bigger, larger and vital than being just a conventional manager with restricted responsibilities and restricted areas of influence. Brand CEOs are the ones who define the DESTINY of our brands and hence our business. - The Brand journey at Rebel Foods kickstarts from identifying the need in the market, to incubating it with Culinary Innovation Center, test marketing the product market fit across few markets, iterating it to perfection (read it as churning a lot of data-points ranging from product ratings, price sensitivity index, NPS scores, competition landscaping to market surveys), getting involved in ensuring the product is made in just the perfect way across 200 and in future 500 kitchens by working at a design level (just imagine the degrees of freedom involved in doing something as simple as squeezing sauce out of a bottle across 200 kitchens by a workforce of over 1400) and finally scaling it up PAN India. No points for guessing as to who spearheads all of it. - Well once our quintessential baby is born, the journey has just begun. Thereafter the brand CEOs are expected to nurture the baby to a full grown kick-ass being. While nurturing, one is expected to ensure the laws of parenting (refer all your courses you would have skipped, bunked yet cleared at your B school through those notes made by God's messenger) are followed, reviewed, challenged and more importantly redefined in lieu of changing consumer behaviour, media consumption and our lifestyles, after all the old rules of the game ain't good enough. You would be expected to be day in and out on top of business numbers {well to be precise its 365 times a month (3 key metrics tracked 4 times a day) incl. weekends and festive days which are our peak days. - The ONE starts behaving like a fitness band which monitors our brand's heart rate 24x7}. While doing so, interacting with different teams like operations, distribution network of aggregators, in-house digital and growth marketing teams, creative and communication teams, product teams, tech teams is inexorable (Dept/person X failed in doing something leading to this is the last thing we entertain, after all, you get to wear the tag of brand CEO). The final goal being to attain market leadership, deliver brand's P&amp;L day on day, month on month and The Most Important, create an immortal brand that aspires and inspires generations to come.&nbsp; Talking specifically about the Health brand, we think itâ€™s not just a brand but an entire ecosystem in itself. In the brand holy grail of 2/2 that we follow internally, wherein we plot each of our brand wrt frequency of ordering on one axis and group size on other axis, health is our 3rd axis that extrapolates each of these opportunity into another dimension. And thatâ€™s how important this very opportunity is for Rebel Foods. We foresee and have already started witnessing Health to be one of the fastest growing categories and largest contributor to the business, its surely going to be the way of life for generations to come. Key Requirements: - Unlike any other brand job opening, stating that one must be a creative thinker with strong analytical ability, data-driven thinking, deep know-how of branding strategies, knowledge of digital world blah blah is something we would refrain from, after all its given, else you wouldn't be able to make sense out of whatever we have belabored till now. - One key skill that we would expect our Brand CEOs to possess and master is the art of storytelling. We think and have also experienced and now firmly believe that the only way to breathe life into a brand is by a good Storytelling. This is the elixir that will make our brands outlive us. After all, consumers experience a product, cherish an offering but would always remember a story! 1 additional mandate for the health brand CEO : The individual preferably needs to be a health enthusiast, the one who just doesn't preach but also practices his sermons, when it comes to new fads from ketos , IF and only god knows what more! One needs to be the opinion leader in this space so that his/her baby( we mean the brand) is organically considered as the demigod of health space and looked up by the civilization struggling with devilish layers around their waist and arteries.
