About the organization: Leading BPO, Customer Management Outsourcing & IT Services Company

Position: Manager-Finance based out of Gurgaon

Role:

The Manager will be responsible for transitioning new reconciliation processes. He/ she have to ensure that the process is compliant with audit/internal control/ risk requirements. The role will be responsible for identification and implementation of process enhancements that will both strengthen the control environment and improve operational efficiency.

The position has a reporting line to the Service Delivery Leader, based in Gurgaon

Key Accountabilities & Deliverables

- Ensure that the account balances have been reconciled with the appropriate subsidiary records, proper supporting documentation is included for every reconciling item, the reconciling items have been resolved appropriately, accurate ageing of open items and items exceeding business standards have been escalated to the management.

- Ensure that accounts being reconciled comply with US GAAP, as instructed by the technical accounting team.

- Monthly review of intercompany account balances, including confirmation/agreement of balances with counterparty.

- Coordination of monthly settlement of all intercompany payable, receivable accounts.

- Ensure Settlement of inter-company balances on a monthly basis.

- Ensuring payments to vendors and employees are on time and accurate

- Ensuring invoices for vendors and employees are correctly coded

- Reporting and measuring functional performance against key performance indicators in accordance with the agreed SLAs

- Driving productivity enhancements by eliminating wastes in Accounting Procedures

- Responsibility for the delivery of training to team members on reconciliation best practice.

- Proactively work with the offshore controllers to determine the business standard for each account and establishing the process for approving aging schedules and escalation of approval for carrying aged balances or reconciling items.

Reporting

- Developing metrics to assess employee performance on reconciliations to assist in the performance management process.

- Ensuring timely reconcilement status, aging reports and KPI’s are sent to the appropriate management groups.

- Responsible for Dashboard, MIS analysis and bringing along the Best Practices in AP role.

- Ensuring management is immediately made aware of any possible significant write-offs and elevating other reconcilement issues of concern

Required Qualification:

- B.Com Graduate(ICWA/CA preferable) with 7-10 years of experience

- UK/US GAAP, SOX knowledge and a good understanding of accounting concepts

- Exposure to a wide range of accounting processes and issues.

- Excellent communication skills with ability to deal with people at different levels of the organization.

- Strong operational and technical accounting knowledge

- In-depth knowledge and experience of reconciliations and associated accounting controls

- Strong supervisory skills and experience

- Experience of working in a strong Internal Control environment

- Good problem solving skills.

- Should proactively identify & resolve process, accounting and reconciliation issues, including an acquisitive mind and the confidence to probe and ask questions but also the ability to offer solutions to issues.

- Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate significant progress in achieving process improvements and control enhancements.
