About EzCred

EzCred is a consumer lending platform for businesses to offer loans to their customers. The platform allows businesses to apply for loans for their customers seamlessly to a set of lenders. The technology allows for a better integration between businesses and lenders to enable a lower turnaround time on the loan applications. This enables the businesses to not only increase their sales funnel conversion but also upsell their offerings to these customers.

EzCred has been started by Amiya Pathak and Sachin Maheshwari.

About Amiya Pathak and Sachin Maheshwari

Amiya Pathak is ex-Twitter and prior to Twitter, he had co-founded ZipDial, which was acquired by Twitter. In 2014, ZipDial was ranked the 8th most innovative company in the world in Fast Company's list of the World's 50 Most Innovative Companies, among industry leaders like Google, Apple and Twitter. In 2015, Amiya Pathak was awarded by Economic Times as one the top 40 business leaders under the age of 40. He has a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur and an MBA from IIM Kolkatta.

Sachin has over 18 years of investing, operating and consulting experience in India and the United States. Prior to starting EzCred he was Managing Director at Zephyr Peacock, a private equity firm based out of Bangalore, India. He has previously been at Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Opus Capital (venture capital firms in the Silicon Valley). He started his career in Silicon Valley with companies like EFI and Unimobile (wireless startup). He has a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur and an MBA from Wharton.

EzCred is a consumer lending startup and their goal is to connect financial institutions with businesses to offer credit to their customers. As we scale, we- re building novel, user-friendly ways to assess and manage credit exposure across a variety of businesses, many of which do not lend themselves to traditional credit risk assessment. This is where you come in: we- re looking for someone to help us scale EzCred credit risk management as we grow, and to expand our product and business innovation to credit risk assessment. You- ll work closely with our risk, finance, and engineering teams to build credit policies for our diverse user segments, design solutions that can scale with our user base, and evaluate and manage credit risk for businesses small, large, conventional and unique.

Roles and Responsibilities

Improve EzCred's credit risk policies and define acceptable exposure at the portfolio, segment, and entity level.

Design and execute on credit processes (both manual and automated) to manage risk and handle deviations from acceptable risk levels.

Collaborate with teams across EzCred, such as engineering, finance, and partnerships with Lending Institutions, to implement and communicate credit policies that balance risk mitigation with user experience.

Our Ideal Candidate

Has at least 4-5 years of experience assessing consumer credit risk and building consumer credit policies, with a solid understanding of credit assessment fundamentals.

Has a track record of developing data-driven and creative solutions for supporting large, unusual, or high-risk businesses.

Is attentive to detail, and enjoys checking all the boxes and driving a process to completion.

Is naturally creative and curious, and enjoys working with a constantly changing and cross-functional team.

Nice To Have

Previous experience working in a high-growth startup environment or news setups in large financial institutions.

Banking, venture capital, or consulting experience.

A background in statistics or working with large data sets, especially with SQL.
