Job Summary:  Global Shared Services (GSS) plays a vital role in providing efficient and effective offshore support for all EY service lines (Assurance, Advisory, Tax and TAS) and CBS functions (such as IT, Finance & Accounting, Q&RM, People, Business and Creative Services). GSS has centers across the globe, including three centers in India (Bangalore, Gurgaon, and Kerala), and one each in Poland, China and Argentina and is an important component of the organization's strategy.  The primary role of the GSS Trivandrum people leader is to act as a strategic advisor and collaborate with GSS Trivandrum leadership on people issues and provide vision, strategic direction and sponsorship for people initiatives for the GSS Kerala Trivandrum location.   The GSS Kerala Trivandrum People leader works collaboratively across the EYG People team and the GSS Kerala people teams to direct, define and lead strategic people initiatives and supporting processes.   He/she supports GSS Kerala Trivandrum leadership in the design, development, implementation and measurement of strategies, programs and practices in order to drive organizational and employee effectiveness for the location. Leads and executes projects that align to and support the achievement of GSS Kerala objectives.   Essential functions of the Job:  - Creates and drives the People strategy and plan for all GSS Kerala Trivandrum center in alignment with the GSS People Strategy, through consultation and relationships with GSS Kerala leaders  - Responsible for high quality execution of significant HR processes including, but not limited to, reward, performance management, career development etc.  - Proactively provides counsel and guidance prior to business decisions being made. Recognized by GSS Kerala leaders as a business partner   - Develops a workforce plan that identifies, prioritizes, and leads people initiatives for the location in alignment with GSS Kerala objectives and enhanced performance of the GSS Kerala organization  - Responsible for monitoring implementation plans and performance against agreed upon KPI's and continuous improvement for all key people metrics including retention, people related direct and indirect costs, people engagement etc for the location.   - Drives establishment of proper benchmarks for people KPI's across centers, as compared to best in class companies in the shared service industry.  - Recommends and drives other people related programs like Employee Assistance etc, considering local needs and cultures.  - Sponsors and drives major change initiatives for GSS Kerala Trivandrum Location to achieve business results and maintain and build on people engagement  - Facilitates the approval and integration of people initiatives across GSS centers. Identifies needs and seeks opportunities to leverage people initiatives and resource across the centers.   - Consults and partners with GSS Kerala leadership to develop and drive strategic plans, initiatives and supporting processes and measurements to drive operational and employee effectiveness. This includes aligning projects to the overall strategy, determining priorities, finding resources to work on the projects, delivering recommendations to leadership for approval and measuring ongoing customer satisfaction   - Identifies, develops and brings ideas and thought leadership to leadership regarding external best practices and new ways to drive organizational and employee effectiveness and engagement. Focuses on the future and plans to bridge the gap between current state and future state.  - Oversees and manages change, recognizing impact to other teams and EY as a whole, while addressing barriers and enablers. This may include organizational restructure, talent management, collaboration, teaming, effective communications and ongoing measurements of success   - Develops and partners with internal and external networks to leverage functional area knowledge through EY  - Attracts, motivates and develops staff. Acts as a leader, mentor, and coach to team members; creates an inclusive environment for team members to share ideas, collaborate, team and recognize differences  - Sets the goals and the operating tone for the team as relates to the successful implementation of projects and initiatives to support the achievement of EY and GSS Kerala people strategy   - Directs reporting needs and data analysis GSS Kerala Trivandrum to identify themes, trends, and comparisons across other service lines  Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:  - Responsible for interpreting data related to headcount including turnover, salary budgets and any adverse impact  - Provide input on organizational restructuring, staffing, leadership assessments or other key HR business initiatives  - Makes decisions that impact the entire GSS Kerala Trivandrum Location   - Anticipate, identify and address main sources of discomfort with projects and change programs, and the people who resist change. To champion and lead change management initiatives in Trivandrum location  - Possesses high levels of specialized knowledge in developing and implementing people strategies, programs and processes within a shared services environment. Makes decision regarding project needs, resources implementation and measurement   - Establishes goals for the GSS Kerala Trivandrum people team and pursues assignments that are related to higher level, strategic long-term objectives.   - A high level of complex, conceptual problem solving ability, a wide sphere of influence and a broad based network are expected
