Senior Project Consultant - Exports Joining : Immediate joining The position is on Fixed Term Employment basis with Annual Direct Contract initially for a period of 1 year, extendable. Essential experience/ Must have : - Exposure to Export-Import business for at least 2 years (total experience of 7+ years) - Should have knowledge of government policies/ schemes for EXIM - Exposure to working with Government Dept./ agencies About the project : The consultant would be part of the Program Management Unit (PMU)/ Engagement Team providing consulting services to a Government Department. The team is engaged in providing advisory services to the concerned Government Dept., pertaining primarily to policy and system reforms. The PMU is responsible for compilation and evaluation of all approvals granted by government dept./ agencies to get an online Single Window system developed and serviced for grant of approvals, through online means. It also involves drawing best practices undertaken at other places nationally internationally. The consultant/ team member would work under the supervision of the Project Manager and would be responsible to undertake all the activities/tasks entrusted by the Project Manager. Key components of the job are research and facilitation. Job Role in EY : - Assessment of scenario for exports from the state and developing a strategy for increasing exports - Coordinate with Export Promotion councils to facilitate exports from the state - Support product specific Export promotion groups - Support participation of units in events for export promotion, buyer seller meets, awards, etc. - Assess and suggest measures to facilitate better export logistics - Policy analysis and economic development - Support the Manager in engagement handling - Client facing role, client interaction, government department/s handling - Manage the internal databases Other details (any specific experience/projects) : - Strong analytics and research skills - Report writing, drafting of presentations - Consulting or research background - Good financial and analytical skills - Strong powerpoint, excel and word skills - Experience in project management - Strong client interaction skills
