EY - Public Finance Management Role - Government Advisory

The Opportunity:

EY India is looking for a Consultant role specializing in Public Financial Management for its Government and Public Sector Advisory.

The Role and responsibilities:

- Analyse revenue streams, expenditures, and economic trends to create realistic budget projections

- Provide recommendations for taxation, government spending, and debt management

- Implement strategies to enhance revenue collection efficiency and compliance

- Ensure compliance with accounting and financial reporting standards

- Identify areas for improvement in the public financial management system and propose reforms.

- Implement reforms to enhance financial management efficiency and effectiveness

- Develop strategies to maintain sustainable debt levels and mitigate risks

- Conduct economic and financial analysis to support policy decisions

- Experience of working with the Central/State/Local Government and experience of working in PMU will be added advantage

- Experience of working with UN agency, World Bank, ADB or any other IFI is desirable

To qualify for the role, you must have:

- MBA in Finance /Master's in economics /Chartered Accountant

- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Public Finance/Municipal Finance/Urban Finance

- Candidates should be willing to travel

- Flexibility to work back in teams with diverse background

- Must be good in report writing

- Good Interpersonal and communication skills

- Prior experience of working with the Government sector would be an added advantage
