Within GDS SaT, our Pursuits team provides support for pre-deal and origination activities, including deal origination meeting decks, capital agenda info packs or opportunity paper decks, value creation opportunity packs, industry insight packs, divestiture opportunity decks, thought leadership packs and idea generation support.

GDS SaT Pursuits teams has 130+ professionals aligned by sectors or regions, working with EY regional PPEDs or Sector fraternity and Account teams for preparing 'go to market' materials and thought capitals for strategic C-suite conversations.

The opportunity

We're looking for Managers with expertise in Healthcare Sectors to join the leadership group of our GDS- SaT Pursuits Team. This is an opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.

Your key responsibilities

The role of Manager GDS Pursuits will include the following:

- Lead a team of 6-10 professionals undertaking sector based research and working on company documents, Sector points of view, industry documents and ad-hoc pieces of research

- Identifying sector themes for generating actionable business development analysis

- Identifying investment opportunities from various channels including PE exit readiness, rumors, cross-border deals and sub-sector watch for preparing Go-to-Market materials.

- Build thought leadership reports and advice accounts teams on capital allocation strategies and imperatives to succeed in dynamic M&A market.

- Develop excellent relationships with global stakeholders and be responsible for a high degree of client satisfaction with engagement process and work products

- Proactively develop new products/services in consultation with EY practices for sectors

- Powerpoint/word based Reports to synthesize and present the findings, and analysis from research

- Focus the team priorities while managing several medium to large size projects

- Conduct timely performance reviews for the team (staff and senior employees) and help in developing and guiding staff and other junior professionals

Skills and attributes for success:

1. Experience of having worked in the following types of firms and the following types of service offerings:

- Experience of having worked in a similar research organization, consulting major like the Big 4 or financial analytics firms, investment banking, or a management consulting firm

- Large Indian corporates with exposure in planning & strategy, corporate finance , business development role

- Equity research role in leading KPOs/Captives

2. Required understanding of business development including:

- Affinity towards one or two sectors

- Strong communication and business writing skills

- Good understanding of corporate transactions and funding mechanisms

- Ability to determine risks and opportunity areas, assess findings and communicate insights

- Experience in undertaking sector studies and analyzing merger and acquisition (M&A) drivers for a given sector or transaction

3. Experience in interacting with senior management of clients

4. Excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills

5. Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in developing final presentations

To qualify for the role, you must have

- Master's degree OR MBA OR Master's in business administration or CFA

- 8-10 years of work experience in research firms, Big 4s, consulting firms, Investment Banking, etc.

- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

- Experience in Financial Statement Analysis

- Experience in Go to market documents, company and/or industry research and thought leadership documents

Ideally, you'll also have

- Project management skills

Exposure to tools like Tableau, Alteryx etc
