Manager - Business Consulting (RISK)

The opportunity :

The Consulting Business Learning Manager will act as a change agent and role model in support of leading-edge learning, development and leadership practice. This role presents a unique opportunity for you to establish yourself as a key part of the team and experience working in our dynamic environment.

You will lead the design and delivery of the Technical Learning agenda for our Business Consulting (RISK) practice, working with stakeholder to define the technical learning curricula and development projects as necessary to achieve the required outcomes for EY.

You will capture, assess and prioritize skills needs, provide advice and determine the most effective solutions to enhance performance. The role will manage relationships with business stakeholders, Learning SPOCs as well as other learning teams across the firm.

Your key responsibilities : 

In this role, you will be responsible for :

- Own and lead end-to-end learning function for the practice driving efficiency and consistency

- Identify, evaluate and analyze individual and practice learning needs in Technical as well as base level Digital, Analytics, Cyber and Technology domains

- Manage and develop the capability building strategy in the Technology Risk & Cybersecurity domains while constantly being on the lookout for learning innovations that will enhance the user experience

- Identify and implement of high impact experiences to strengthen the learning brand

- Leading the team towards learning and business priorities as well as managing stakeholder relationships

- Design and lead the curriculum plan, review existing learning modules to keep them relevant at all times, and align Global and Local catalogues to avoid duplication where required

- Lead/supervise branding and communication for the learning initiates as required. This includes communication with business stakeholders on the learning portfolio overall function to ensure they are updated on the progress of existing and new learning initiatives throughout the lifecycle

- Manage reporting to key stakeholders on learning performance against agreed standards and metrics in a timely way. Highlight and resolve any issues with business accounts involving learning colleagues as required

- Build and maintain effective relationships outside Learning (e.g. Vendors, Alliances, Talent Development, Strategic Talent Consultants, Knowledge) to ensure learning can propose and facilitate holistic solutions

- Promote and enforce a strong - one team- culture in Learning and working with other team members to build one high performing team

- Budgeting - Working with business as well as central learning team for the development and deployment of the learning plan and budget, ensuring accurate monitoring of plan and actual activities

- Provide necessary support during Internal Audit reviews

- Supporting other ad-hoc projects and assignments as deemed needed

- Manage availability of content, trainers working back with competency learning SPOCs
 
Skills and attributes for success: 

- Strong business acumen, understanding of EY's Next wave vision agenda and strategy organization-wide

- Strong consulting skills as a learning professional - the ability to understand business requirements and to determine the most appropriate solutions

- A background in Risk Consulting and Learning & Development with a passion for digital and emerging technologies including Cybersecurity (preferable)

- Strong leadership capabilities and ability to manage resources

- Strong organizational skills - the ability to set priorities, allocate budget and work within effective time frames

- Strong ability to influence and drive behavioral change

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong drive to excel professionally, and to guide and motivate others

- Dedicated, innovative, resourceful and able to work under pressure

- Foster an efficient, innovative and team-oriented work environment

- Strong collaboration skills - work effectively with other members of the Learning team ensuring stakeholder needs and expectations are met

- Project Management Skills and the ability to multi-task efficiently

To qualify for the role you must have : 

- A Graduate or Master's degree (preferably an MBA)

- At least 8-12 years of significant experience of working in a professional services firm or MNC environment

- Experience with facilitation is preferred but not mandatory

- Experience in Internal Audit, Technology Risk, Cybersecurity, FS Risk etc. and/or professional certification in any of these domains is a plus
