General purpose of this role:
Support the clients on governance services processes. Essentially, the work activities are around Contract, Financial, Performance, Relationship Management and administration. Role involves understanding terms & conditions of Contracts / Agreements between clients and service providers (ITO / ADM / ITES / BPO space), administration of work requests and tasks associated with these Contracts / Agreements. The candidate will be responsible for high quality assurance of work throughput along with service delivery for the assigned project(s).
Major duties and responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for Service delivery for assigned project(s).
- Handle a team of 8 - 12 Analyst / Senior Analyst / Consultant / Senior Consultant & Team Leader
- Understand Governance Services & Contract Management Services capabilities and solutions
- Managing task and request related to following discipline,
Contract Management
Financial Management
Performance Management
Relationship Management
Expertise in handling contracts and related risks / issues for at least any one of the following sectors: Technology, Telecom, Pharma, Financial Services, or Manufacturing
Contract drafting, Designing contracting templates
Understanding of the various areas in a typical contract such legal, regulatory, tax, service delivery, commercial, technical etc.
Review of contracts for completeness and drawing comparisons with leading practices relevant for the sector / client.
Review and abstraction of contractual terms and conditions.
Defining standard contract management procedures.
Legal health check; and contract compliance reviews
Assist clients monitor contract compliances either through IT tool or as a managed service.
- Demonstrate industry expertise (deep understanding of the industry, emerging trends, issues/challenges, key players & leading practices).
- Perform thorough quality assurance reviews on work products and deliverables to ensure high quality of output deliverable and consistency.
- Actively establish & strengthen client (functional heads & key influencers) and internal relationships.
- Frequently engage with client stakeholders and senior leadership through written and verbal communication.
- Develop strong working relationships with client (process owners / functional heads)
- Help in the development of IP for Governance Services & Contract Management Services capabilities and solutions - Assist in developing new methodologies and internal initiatives.
- Create innovative insights for clients, adapts methods & practices to fit operational team needs & contributes to thought leadership documents
- Plan & schedule client engagements. Determine and deploy the right team with adequate skill sets to execute engagements and periodically review status of engagements.
- Assist the Director / Partners handle overall operations of the assigned engagement(s) / project(s) / account(s) and in driving the business development process on existing client engagements by gathering appropriate resources, gaining access to key contacts & supervising proposal preparation.
- Create and nurture a positive learning culture, coaches, counsels and grooms / develops junior team members.
- Display teamwork, integrity and leadership. Work with team members to set goals and responsibilities for specific engagements. Foster teamwork and innovation - Actively encourage team members to contribute ideas.
- Drive performance management for self and team.
- Identify buyers, influencers & stakeholders in existing client engagements and build strong relationships.
Skills and abilities:
Strong ability & inclination to work on simple to complex documents with focus to achieve high degree of quality and accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of contracts and outsourcing industry including ITO, ADM / AMS, ITES, EUC, Software development & BPO
- Knowledge of various aspects of Contract, Financial, Performance, Relationship Management related processes like Contract Compliance and Administration, Contract Change, Invoice Management, Performance and SLA Management, Governance Meetings
- Ability to understand and analyse contract / financial / performance data
- Excellent inter-personal skills with an ability to work in a culturally diverse environment and teams
- Process oriented - Ability to learn & understand new processes and contribute in various disciplines of Governance Services & Contract Management Services.
- Well conversant with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Excel) and usage of Internet.
- Communication Skills - Ability to interact comfortably on telephone, conference calls and through emails with Client Personnel, Client Service Providers and any Onsite team.
- Effective Time management - Ability to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision / guidance.
- Flexible on timings and willingness to work in an unstructured environment.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Educational Qualification - Post graduates, LLM / CFA / MBA (Finance) / CA / ICWA.
- Overall experience of 10 years or more.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in managing outsourcing contracts.
- At least 3 years of experience in directly interacting with client and senior leadership team.
- Currently working in supervisory position (Assistant Manager or above) handling more than 10 people.
- Prior experience in KPO / BPO or IT industry.
- Added advantage (not a decision factor)
French, German, Spanish or any other foreign language skills (Comprehensively Speak, Read & Write)
Exposure to ISO 27001 / 31000 / SAS70 / SSAE / ISAE standards
Six Sigma Green Belt trained
PMP Trained or Certified
ITIL Trained or Certified
IACCM Trained or Certified
Currently handling a project independently (size irrespective)
