The Capital equipment valuation team undertakes valuation of manufacturing and tangible assets like plant &amp; machinery, furniture &amp; fixtures etc. for purposes encompassing mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax and regulatory compliance, restructuring&nbsp;and reorganization, and corporate strategy. We use traditional valuation techniques like market (multiples based approach), cost approach (both direct &amp; indirect approach) and income approach. Responsibilities : - Work on and manage engagements focusing on valuation of businesses, with focus on performing financial assessment and valuation of manufacturing and other fixed assets for mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax and regulatory compliance, restructuring and reorganization, and corporate strategy - Specific engagement responsibilities will include building and analyzing trends in book value and depreciation of fixed asset classes, performing market research on comparable assets, constructing detailed fixed asset financial models using advanced functionalities in MS Excel and Access platforms, writing reports to present valuation analysis and opinion. - Develop specific subject matter knowledge and provide team members with coaching and guidance in technical areas of valuation of tangible assets using direct and indirect cost approach, income approach and market approach - Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with EY CE valuation groups globally - Supervise, develop and mentor professionals at the Senior and staff level - Stay abreast of current business and economic developments as well as changes in accounting and valuation domain, relevant to our and clients- businesses To qualify, a candidate must have : - A post graduate degree in finance, economics, accounting (CA) or business. Preference to candidates with Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, preferably with specialization in Industrial engineering - 6-10 years of experience in valuations/quantitative analytics/financial advisory/modelling/consulting (preferably with one of the Big 4s or boutique valuation firms). Strong preference to candidates with experience in tangible asset valuation. - Knowledge of principles relating to valuation of business and tangible assets, using direct and indirect cost approach, income approach and market approach. - Sound grasp of MS Excel &amp; Access and a natural interest in working and learning to use these to an advanced level. Proficient with other MS office tools - Word and Powerpoint, and an ability to handle and model large data using tools like SQL, VBA, etc. - Working knowledge of research databases like CapitalIQ, Factset, Factiva, Thomson, Onesource etc - Supervisory experience and ability to lead teams - Willingness and ability to travel abroad, when necessary
