Your key responsibilities : - Your role would involve delivering high quality service to the client. This would involve understanding processes, compliances, knowledge, data, etc from the client/ other tax teams, and thereafter providing the services from EY on day to day basis with support from team. Towards this, you would have the following responsibilities: - Working with your manager to deliver the TFO engagement - Streamlining tax processes, building best practices, providing best in class delivery, leveraging standard processes and highlighting the need for infusing technology/ automation, where required. All the above would be focused on quality improvisation - Maintaining a systematic repository - Resolving client issues and concerns in a timely manner - Leveraging EY experience to ensure best practices are implemented while operating the tax function - Co-ordinating with various specialist teams within the Practice to deliver outcomes to client - From a tax and regulatory perspective, your responsibilities will include working with the team and manager for the following: - Preparing and reviewing of withholding tax computations and advance tax - Preparing, reviewing and filing tax returns - Preparing and assisting with data and technical research for assessments at tax officer, appellate authority and tribunal - Advisory on domestic and international tax, including technical research, drafting memo, presentations, etc - Co-ordination with the tax authorities and visiting the tax office for regular follow-ups, rectifications, representations etc if required - Compliance under various applicable regulations such as foreign exchange law, stamp duty, corporate law or LLP Act, etc - Further, to develop specialization on the above tax aspects, be an active part of Centre of Excellence to deliver on tax matters for multiple projects Skills and attributes for success The job requires a constant focus on improvisation and perseverance to deliver a high performing tax function. The role also requires the following attributes: - Team player - People interaction - Client management skills - Highly adaptive - Basic understanding of tax and finance domain - High focus and ability to provide best-in-class delivery - Strong analytical ability, logical and problem-solving skills - Proficient in MS word, excel, power point. - Data management and processing skills - Proficiency with common ERPs, eg SAP, Oracle, Tally To qualify for the role you must have : - A qualified Chartered Accountant - 1 - 4 years of post-qualification tax experience - Experience in Consulting/ Industry (while specialization may be in any field of tax, the role will require some exposure across direct tax, indirect tax and transfer pricing) - Proficiency with common ERPs, eg SAP, Oracle, Tally will be an added advantage Or - A semi-qualified Chartered Accountant - 4 + years of tax experience - Experience in Consulting/ Industry (while specialization may be in any field of tax, the role will require some exposure across direct tax, indirect tax and transfer pricing) - Proficiency with common ERPs, eg SAP, Oracle, Tally- will be an added advantage Ideally you should have : - Excellent communication skills [written and oral] - Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative - Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client) What we look for : People with the ability to work in a collaborative way to provide services across multiple client departments and on multiple projects while adhering to commercial and legal requirements.
