EY - Associate/Senior Associate - Modeling - Valuations - TAS

Ernst & Young's TAS division offers companies professional transaction experience, from the strategic analysis phase of the transaction lifecycle, through execution, to transaction integration.

- We provide clients with a single point of contact who is focused on building a strategic relationship to address their transactions needs, and who can help leverage a global network of 5,000 transaction professionals in over 70 countries-to bring the right people and experience to work on every phase of a transaction.

- As business modelling professional at Ernst & Young, you'll help global organisations make strategic decisions by providing business modelling expertise. Working with clients from Private sector Commonwealth, and Government agencies, you will play a key role in managing, delivering and reviewing a wide range of financial and decision analysis models for key projects and initiatives

Modelling experts will, through the use of Excel, Access and Microsoft suite of products, auditing tools and software packages, work with colleagues and our clients :

- Design and build intermediate or complex financial models for clients

- Review Excel models prepared by clients

- Produce written file notes, letters, presentations or reports and present conclusions

Responsibilities -

Serving as a member of multiple client engagement teams :

- Perform financial modelling for management planning

- Develop business cases

- Mergers and Acquisitions modelling

- tax and financial reporting

- Decision supports modelling.

- Identify issues and propose strategies related to the procedures executed. Actively contribute to report generation and detailed financial modelling. Maintain positive, productive, and professional relationships with client personnel and colleagues.

- Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members; stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the client's business; and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided.

To qualify, candidates must have :

- a bachelor's degree and approximately 2 + years of related work experience;

- Highly numerate and analytical individual, preferably with an excellent academic record and a degree in computers, engineering, Actuarial sciences, or accounting & finance

- CA preferred

- Familiarity with design and build applications using Microsoft suite of products and range of other technologies, including MS Access/VBA, MS Excel/VBA, SQL, MS Visio, BI tools, etc. is highly desirable

- strong financial modelling skills; the ability to create financial models based on clients strategic financial business plans

- excellent analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and teaming skills

- ability to manage project expenditures against budget and revenue

- ability to provide sound guidance to team members to ensure the completion of work deliverables

- PC proficiency including MS Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint

- The successful candidate must also be willing and able to travel, when necessary.
