We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for leading the company's financial controls; providing strategic inputs & insights to leadership; providing an overview on reporting, accounting, and compliance.

- Will be a senior part of the finance team, working closely with the founding team.

- Strike alliances with leading banking and financial institutions for nodal account operations, marketplace operations.

- Lead the fundraising & due diligence function.

- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

- Interacts at all levels and with stakeholders to produce a timely, efficient, and accurate month-end close and all internal management and financial reporting through the annual report.

- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition

- Proactively preparing monthly overheads analysis/details before releasing the P&L to respective teams and ensuring all details/schedules are available.

- Supervise the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are correctly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations, and report preparation.

Ideal Candidate:

- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller with a preference for an MBA degree from tier-1 b school.

- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.

- Should be well versed with compliances in nature of corporate law, GST, TDS, Labour laws, and related compliance.

- Knowledge and experience of Tally Prime.

- Well-versed with the digital economy and the startup world; should have worked with a startup or started one of their own, or worked with a consulting firm in the B2B/fintech domain, marketplace domain, aggregation model, etc.

- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven decision-making mentality.
