EXL Services - AVP - Control Accountant

- Controls accountant Responsible for supporting FC maintaining an effective control environment Strong academic background including an internationally recognised professional accounting qualification (minimum 3 years post qualification experience) Strong experience in finance close processes and controls Exposure to UK GAAP would be an advantage

- Documenting process flows Strong experience working within an insurance or reinsurance business Strong and deep understanding of US GAAP & UK GAAP Experience using Oracle and Airtable would be a plus

- Reviewing the effectiveness of controls and maintaining up-to-date control documentation Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and attention to detail Should be able to self-manage in a richly professional and flexible environment

- Review of the Balance Sheet reconciliations, co-ordinating actions to unblock reconciliation issues, and escalating as appropriate Expert in Microsoft Excel and proficiency with MS Office Package Continually seeks ways to improve processes, controls and best practices

- Preparation of ad-hoc analysis as required Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders across all levels Strong organisational and planning skills that support productivity and efficiency

- Preparation of the Annual Financial Statements (under US GAAP, UK GAAP and Luxembourg GAAP) Operates well within a team, identifying with the larger organisation and their role within it
