Function -Technology

Reports to : Sr.AVP. / VP - Technology Applications

Span of Control - Individual Role

Basic Function : 

- Engage with Software development / Pre-Sales team to understand Customer requirements, drives Business Solutions

- Perform investigational analysis and evaluation to determine project or application feasibility.

- Prepare feasibility studies, recommend and establish program objectives, priorities and schedules in conjunction with user and functional requirements

- Identify, define, record and communicate user and functional requirements for necessary software, data storage and retention, or workflow and business process changes.

- Prepare Business Requirement Document

- Interacting with Development and testing team, Business team/ Operational Leadership, and/or Senior Management throughout the project for smooth delivery

Essential Functions :

- Should be a strong facilitator to make a bridge between the technology & business leadership

- Help in meeting organizational goals with good rigor, commitment to Quality and Deadlines

- Implement Best Practices, Process and should be document oriented professional.

- Should possess excellent time management skills with positive attitude

Primary Internal Interactions :

- Business team/ Operational Leadership, and/or Senior Management, Development and testing team

- All Technology Sub-Functions.

Primary External Interactions :

- Client Teams - especially Client Business &Technology Teams.

- External Vendors - Product & Services Vendors/Partners, Industry/Business forums

Reports To : VP - Technology Applications

Skills :

Technical Skills - Knowledge of prevalent application platforms/technologies (BPM, ECM, SOA, Domain specific Business Platforms)

- Relevant Experience of 2-5 years into IT application development in anyone of below - 

- Microsoft Technology (Visual Studio .Net, ASP.Net, SQL Server Cognitive API, TFS etc.)

- Robotics Automation with any market leading tool like Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, OpenSpan, UI Path etc.

- Excellent analytical skills and aptitude for problem solving, including data analysis and validation

- Hands - on with Visio and Microsoft Tools

Process Specific Skills - Understanding/Delivery Experience in a Business Aligned IT scenarios

- Understanding and experience of various SDL model Agile/Scrum, Waterfall etc.

Soft skills (Desired) - Excellent Presentation, Verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent analytical skills and aptitude for problem solving, including data analysis and validation

- Able to work independently and as part of a team

- Worked / exposure to software application management

Soft Skills (Minimum) - Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal at all levels of the organization, with external stakeholder organizations

- Strong customer service orientation ability to connect with global customers and work with Global teams.

- Good listening and consultative skills

- Good Negotiation, persuasion and interpersonal skills

Education Requirements

- Graduate, preference for degree in Computer Science (MCA/BS/BE) with industry recognized certifications

- Deep understanding of one of EXL focused Industry domains - Insurance, Healthcare, Finance and Accounting, Utilities, Travel and Logistics

Work Experience Requirements :

- 6+ years in Business Analystrole as a part of business organizations primarily Customer Advisory Service / Software Application firms providing services to Insurance, Banking, Utilities industries verticals.

- Proven to be Technically savvy and showcase strong business application and solution experience

- Experience in a BPO environment is preferred
