EXL - Assistant Vice President - Analytics

Job Description:

- This position is a strategic position which will support the largest travel account through analytical capabilities,manage relationship and partner with various support heads across regions. This position will work with both external and internal business partners across business units and global boundaries.

- Will lead a high-performing team that works collaboratively with an extensive, extended team, and execute programs that drive customer satisfaction and profitability.

Specific responsibilities include:

- Work closely with Senior Leadership in the JAPA, US and EMEA regions on MIS solutions supporting the key business groups viz Business Analytics, Client reporting, Advisory/Consulting services.

- Collaborate with support departments like Finance, Consulting, Supplier Relations Group, Client Management and Operations etc by providing them analytical solutions and support.

- Recommend Business Solutions to standardize MI and develop standardized tools across the various regions.

- Review data, recommend and develop reporting that will assist improve productivity, management of headcount and process improvements.

- Prepare and Deliver tools for various business travel business units and contribute in special projects.

- Assisting business travel leadership team on scheduled and ad-hoc performance and productivity management.

- Assist with process improvement opportunities by identifying possible areas of automation & offer solutions.

- Strengthen the team by providing effective support, performance management; timely coaching & feedback and helping them acquire new talent, knowledge & skills.

- Decision making in critical and day to day situations. This position is responsible for demonstrating problem-solving skills, identifying solutions to barriers/issues for effective service creating win-win situations for Travel Clients.

- Responsible for designing and conducting required training program for the team in close coordination with business partners.

- Develop and lead joint governance committee with all business partners. Motivate staff and leaders in the group to deliver at optimal levels - ensure high levels of employee satisfaction and retention in a high growth industry; this position is accountable for promoting teamwork, team empowerment, and skill development through support of the efforts of a group of Analysts and Project Managers

- Be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with identified stakeholders & ensure timely execution of plans

Specifications:

- Proven people leadership skills with ability to lead a team of over 100 Business Analysts

- Knowledge/Experience in travel industry and operations will be an added advantage.

- Strong ability to formulate and communicate strategies in a clear, compelling way. Proven experience in leading global, cross-functional teams

- Strong strategic and analytic thinking with an ability to develop and execute successful strategies

- Exceptional relationship management skills with a proven track of positively collaborating & influencing internal and external partners.

- Competent on project management and a strong financial acumen

- Graduate with 7-8 years of relevant experience and exposure to an Analytics function.

- Proficiency in Database and Programming tools viz VB6, SQL 2000, MS Access & Excel.

- Excellent Communication, Presentation and Customer service skills. Self-starter with ability to execute with Minimal Direction and strong attention to Detail.
