Position Title: Regional Sales Manager - Exide
Department: Exide - Sales & Marketing Business

Reports to (Direct) -Chief Operations Manager-Exide Sales; North 2
Reported by (Direct Reportees) - Area Managers
Job Responsibilities:
1. To look after overall business in the assigned region.
2. Direct, organize, monitor and control Sales Executives, Sales Trainees to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained to meet sales targets and that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
3. Monitor and control the budget for the Region to ensure that all financial targets are met and are in place to comply with company and regulatory requirements.
4. Maintain accurate records of all sales activity and prepare regular forecasts and strategy to enable effective forward planning
5. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and other relevant bodies to ensure that the company's maximum sales potential is realized in the area.
6. To be responsible for demand generation activities, promotional campaigns, channel partner meets thereby improving market share through penetration activity, cultivation of new channel partners and network expansion, as well as management and support of existing channels/ network - Primary and Secondary Network.
7. Maintain awareness of brand building and company products and of relevant sales techniques and strategies to ensure that the role is carried out as effectively as possible.
8. Monitor the sales performance of competitors to ensure that the company maintains and develops its competitive position
9. Provide the main source of expertise to the company on business development issues
10. To provide after sales service support in coordination with Service Team for improving customer satisfaction
11. Ensures achievement of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Sales Target through existing and new dealer and distribution channel members, supervision of all related activities which contribute positively to overall performance of the division.
12. Ensures adherence to sales policies and implements the policies provided by Corporate Marketing team.
Job Requirements:
Educational Qualification :
- Graduate in any discipline (Engineering preferred)
- MBA/ PGDM (Marketing)
