Exide - Head - Projects & Maintenance

We are searching for a qualified and reliable Project and maintenance Head to lead our maintenance department of CML-Malur (A 100 % Subsidiary of Exide Industries Limited).

Payroll will be with Exide Industries Limited

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

- Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations.

- Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance.

- Maintain all machinery to ensure it's at working standards.

- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities

- Create and implement maintenance procedures.

- Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.

- Plan and manage all repair and installation activities.

- Forecast, order, and negotiate price for spare parts inventory

- Develop and implement a (proactive) maintenance program

- Hire subcontractors for specialized maintenance work

- Looking for new ways/tools/assets to improve productivity and cut costs

- Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates.

- Trouble shooting activities & reduce maintenance breakdowns by doing condition appraisal & Root Cause analysis

- Planning daily activities and resources (Men and Material) as per requirement within the inventory level

- Prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs.

- Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance

- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary

- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities

- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with

- Ensure all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.

- Ensure that applicable ISO standards are followed meticulously

Qualification and Skills :

- Result oriented, Self-Starter

- Comprehensive understanding of drawings and tools.

- Problem solver with proven ability to drive projects to a successful conclusion.

- Capable of leading negotiations for project contracts

- Ability to understand value streams and how to breakdown cost structure

- Team oriented and Excellent Inter-personal and communication skills

- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft, Advanced Excel, Power Point and CAD.

- Flexibility and versatility

Basic Qualification : B.E ( Mech)

Experience : 10-12 Years , However last 3-4 years must have worked as HOD.

Language proficiency : Kannada, Hindi, English

Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates having working experience in Smelting Plant.
