Exide Energy - Manager - Production Operations - Cell Assembly - Li-ion Gigafactory

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Operations Manager to oversee the Cell Assembly line at our state-of-the-art Li-ion Gigafactory.

The Production Operations Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the production line, coordinating activities across production engineering, maintenance, and logistics to drive productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Line Management: Serve as the primary point of contact and leader for the Cell Assembly production line, overseeing day-to-day operations and coordinating activities to meet production targets and deadlines.

2. Production Coordination: Collaborate closely with production engineering, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure the seamless operation of the production line, coordinating resources, materials, and equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.

3. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that products meet or exceed quality standards, conducting regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.

4. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate production processes and workflows to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement, implementing process enhancements and best practices to drive productivity and efficiency.

5. Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of production operators and technicians, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure that team members are trained, motivated, and aligned with production goals.

6. Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the production line, ensuring that all team members adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

7. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the production line, tracking production metrics and reporting on performance to management on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production supervisory role, preferably in a mass-production manufacturing environment.

- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve production goals.

- Solid understanding of production processes, equipment, and systems, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.

- Knowledge of quality management systems and lean manufacturing principles.

- Experience with production line management software and tools is a plus.
