Core Responsibilities :

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND REPORTING :

- Both Global and India Operations is required to present itself effectively to meet management and governance requirements

- You will lead the team that will help in producing presentations, performance metrics, balanced scorecards and responding to various requests from Firm, Business Unit and Operations management

- Facilitate senior management meetings; visits; planning sessions and business plan.

- Maintain headcount information for Operations

PEOPLE STRATEGY AND COMMUNICATION :

- The Individual will take a leadership role in driving the India Operations People Strategy. The people strategy includes conceptualizing, initiating and coordinating various initiatives in congruence with global initiatives around

- Recruitment

- Training and Career Management

- Employee engagement forums and influencing employee retention initiatives

- Communication

Giving back : SOCOM and Diversity

OVERSIGHT FOR DIVISION MANAGEMENT TEAMS :

- Oversight and management of RAM India team in Mumbai alongside the Training Management Team

- Optimise global support on Asia admin and Lean Management teams

- Review and analysis of financial statements for Global and India Ops

- Oversee the budgeting processes - Liaison with local FCG and assisting functional managers with cost review and control

- Support Stakeholder discussions with India Country Head

- Optimize training management team to support Operations globally

LOCATION STRATEGY AND GOVERNANCE :

- Assisting Local Leadership in defining the Location strategy for India. Oversight and support for all captive transitions.

- Working closely with Global Workforce Strategy and Operations Vendor Management to enable smooth transitioning of processes into India across captive and vendor and proactively addressing exceptions

- Assist in co-ordinating efforts with Global Workforce Strategy

- Execution of the model to demonstrate appropriate governance and oversight on global offshoring

STRATEGIC INITIATIVES :

The individual will take a leadership role on strategic initiatives e.g. profit improvement plan, knowledge management - some of these initiatives would be driven via cross ops harmonization teams - sharing of best practices with Global ; Regional and local management teams

NETWORKING :

The individual will build relationships with global business managers. Through such engagements the individual will be expected to keep up to date with various initiatives and ensure that India Ops is properly represented

Skills and Experience :

- Ideally be an experienced professional with a good knowledge of Operations and the Firm. Knowledge of Finance will be beneficial. The ideal skills for the COO role are highly varied.

- On the one hand the role requires someone with strategic thinking skills who can hold their own with the senior management team. On the other hand the role requires a highly organized individual who can keep on top of detailed issues.

The ideal skills are :

- Ability to form, execute and disband virtual teams

- Ability to partner with senior people

- Analytical skills and attention to detail

- Communication and networking skills

- Organization skills

- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

- Excellent time management skills, ability to efficiently prioritize and multitask, and work under pressure to meet deadlines and team objectives.

- Proven ability to influence and challenge status-quo, improve processes and drive results.
