KPMG's Tax services are designed to reflect the unique needs and objectives of each client, whether we are dealing with the tax aspects of a cross-border acquisition or developing and help implement a global transfer pricing strategy. In practical terms, that means KPMG firms work with their clients to assist them in achieving effective tax compliance and managing tax risks, while helping to control costs.

JD below:

- Adhering to clients' corporate tax compliance timelines as per statute (assessments, the filing of returns, etc)

- Preparing submissions for the clients for scrutiny assessments, rectification / stay application, appeal to be filed with the Commissioner of Income-tax and Income-tax Appellate Tribunal

- Representation before the Tax / appellate authorities and following up with the tax authorities for rectification / stay applications/refund orders of the clients

- Providing advice to the Clients on Corporate tax laws and regulatory matters

- Preparing memos & presentations for advisory assignment for corporate tax and regulatory matters

- Co-ordinating with the audit teams and conducting review of tax provisioning and tax audit finalization for audit clients

- Leading and managing engagements in the field of corporate tax for clients

- Engage in technical research on latest case laws and circulars and prepare summary and impact analysis on landmark cases for clients

- Coaching/ developing junior members on the concepts of corporate tax

- Attend external trainings and keep updated with the latest developments

- Making presentation on current topics in internal trainings

- Preparing letter of engagement for the clients and ensuring timely preparation of time spent for the clients and invoicing and collection

- Ensuring periodical review of filing/documents from an internal review perspective

- Contributing to newspaper articles, knowledge management presentations etc. in respect of the above subjects

- Coaching and guiding the team members

- Building good rapport and working relationship with key client contacts

- To actively participate in Firm's CSR activities

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conducting tax planning for clients to meet with the corporate tax obligations as per statute;

- Representing clients at Departments/ Appellate

- Providing advise on Corporate tax laws and regulations

- Adhering to clients Corporate Tax compliance timelines as per statute

- Leading and managing engagements in the field of corporate tax for clients

- Coaching/ developing junior members on the concepts of corporate tax

- Attend external training and keep updated with the latest developments

THE INDIVIDUAL

- Strong analytical ability

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Client relationship management

- Good commercial awareness

- Team player

- 0-1 years of experience in direct tax compliance

QUALIFICATION

- Be a qualified CA

SELECTION PROCESS

- Candidates would be required to go through 3 rounds of personal interviews to assess clarity on concepts, communication skills, and attitude
