EA to MD (Steel/Pipe/Consulting)
Key Responsibilities :
- Collate and analyse data to create daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for each project / plant and prepare summary notes for each business review and provide MIS in a timely manner
- Assist in reviewing budgets for the function / department / Business Unit and help in preparing annual business plan
- Integrate operations across business units and leverage synergies
- Support the Managing Director in his day to day operations and identify and report key operational, finance or any other critical issues
- Provide inputs for strategy for geography expansion, product portfolio expansion and any other growth levers and help in making board-level presentations for the strategic initiatives and create B-plan for new business venture
- Track key strategic initiatives (including IT) and provide inputs to achieve targets and run PMO if required
- Analyse bids submitted by BU Head from perspective of profitability, value addition, etc. and submit analysis to MD
- Facilitate discussion between MD & BU Head for bid finalization
- Ensure all Steering Committee meetings are conducted on time and Highlight key points discussed during Steering Committee meetings to MD
- Monitor implementation of initiatives and projects identified by the Managing Director & Steering Committee
- Follow up with the business units / function heads for any actions that were decided upon during reviews and keep the Managing Director abreast of actions that have taken place
- Ensure all data, documents and reports submitted by the business units to the Managing Director is accurate and vetted
- Provide support in creating quarterly board presentations
- Facilitate approvals for capex items, procurement and any other approvals from MD as per GAM (in SAP as well)
- Track key economic parameters and provide commentary on global economic environment
- Present an overall business analysis basis Suppliers, Customers, Competitors and Economic environment
- Help MD in preparing for Investor Relationship meetings and quarterly presentation of results
- Provide support in KRA setting, performance appraisal and key talent management
- Provide support in order planning optimization
- Maintain global order book and bid book
- Accompany MD in plant visits and capture key issues related to plant operations
- Provide support in finalization of MD&A section of annual report
Job Purpose :
Role is responsible for assisting the Managing Director's Office in general management & integration of operations. Key responsibilities include monitoring of management initiatives, analysis of bids and holding Steering Committee meetings, budgeting, strategic presentations, yearly business plan etc.
Accountability Result Indicators :
- Timely preparation of reports and availability of data
- Submission of key bids
- Preparation for business reviews
- Follow up on projects and meetings
- Feedback from MD
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Competencies :
Education:
- MBA from premier institute / CA
Experience:
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Consulting experience preferred
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to interpret and analyze business matrix, budget, business plan, etc.
- Strategic acumen
