Key Result Areas/Accountabilities
- Identify improvement ideas in existing businesses
- Identify key priorities/improvement opportunities. Ensure appropriate analysis/work being done on these by the business. Orchestrate appropriate discussions
- Facilitate effective annual plans and regular performance reviews
- Facilitate robust annual plans (revenue/profit budgets, capex budgets, KVDs) for the portfolio of businesses Facilitate focused and sharp quarterly reviews of the businesses
- Assess organic/inorganic growth opportunities within existing businesses
- Evaluate growth ideas presented by the businesses; including any new adjacent business opportunities or acquisition opportunities (collaborate with different business, as required) Generate, as necessary, growth ideas proactively that the business may not have thought about (or may be averse to) through discussions (collaborate with different business, as required)
- Support decision making on new businesses/geographies and opportunities to reshape business portfolio for shareholder value
- Support decision making on adjacent/new business opportunities as they come up (in collaboration with Corporate functions and/or businesses as required)
- Drive special projects, as required
- Drive/support special projects that come up during the course of the year that are not covered in the goals above (usually in collaboration with a corporate function or a business)
- Enhance collaboration with corporate functions (and businesses)
- Collaborate with corporate functions (and businesses) in performing the roles above while maintaining an independent/unbiased perspective on the issues
