Role Overview Make A Difference is growing and is in need of a motivated and adaptable individual to work along with the CEO. As a strategist, consultant and implementer, the EA will ensure streamlined activities within the organization based on the priorities of the CEO. The EA keeps a track of the broader picture, acts as the eyes and ears for the CEO and is a sounding board for decision making. Specific roles and responsibilities: Direct support to the CEO - Strategically manage leaders' time: looks at CEO's external opportunities, including long-term travel and meeting plans, and assess their fit against priorities - Acts as gatekeeper: Manage and triage workflow of the executive. Prioritise, delegate, and complete work on behalf of the executive. Ensure the CEOs' involvement in project or decision-making processes takes place at key times, where their input and authority are most needed - Prepare for and follow up on meetings: Prepares leaders for upcoming meetings by ensuring they have all the information necessary to be productive and engaged - Manage internal and external communications: As partner to CEO, often drafts company newsletters, reports, pitch decks, speeches and presentations Meeting and event preparation - Coordinate agendas for CEO's approval before leadership team and board meetings - Add structure and process for better communication with the CEO as well as across teams. - Ensures activities are running efficiently Strategic planning and alignment - Act on behalf of the CEO for greater visibility and accessibility. Prevent bottle-necking and promote decision-making when the CEO cannot be present - Serve as a strategic thought partner, sounding board, and confidante to the CEO. - Participate in the annual strategic planning process for the company by acting as a project manager and ensuring alignment with the CEO and leadership team - Help determine key performance indicators and update dashboards as needed Hiring and management - Manage hiring process for leadership roles reporting to the CEO in partnership with the HR Team What MAD is looking for in their ideal candidate - Master's Degree in Business Administration - Minimum 8+ years' executive level experience - Past experience in scaling of an organization successfully - Proven track record of working with young volunteers and other similar stakeholders - Past long-standing employment at NGOs or other organisations in the social sector as a programme manager or other similar roles - Strong managerial and interpersonal skills - Proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management - Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments - Excellent communication skills - Practical knowledge of tools and best practices to efficiently prioritize tasks and set meetings
