Role & Responsibilities

- You will be responsible for delivering key capital reports and performance metrics.

- You will use your SQL skills to deliver ad-hoc reporting to key stakeholders, provide user testing support and results analysis for both ongoing change programs and scheduled code releases while managing the data warehouse/regulatory control framework ensuring documentation keeps pace with change in the system environment.

- Will also help identify opportunities to improve processes, act as bridge between IT and the business and ensure that the IT deliverables are a reflection of the business needs and maintain efficient communication with senior management, technology teams and business stakeholders.

- Will also have the opportunity to drive BAU change for Finance, specifically related to Credit risk and BASEL regulations.

- Strong academic background in either Accounting, Finance or Information Technology. Minimum 4-8 years of post-qualification experience with strong knowledge of credit risk, SQL and relational databases and have a basic understanding ETL/data warehouse concepts.

- It is essential that you have previous experience in the Financial Services industry and ideally a background in accounting, product control or systems accounting. It would also be preferred if you have knowledge of financial instruments and products.

- Great communication skills are required as the role will involve interaction with clients and colleagues at various levels.

- You should have the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and the self-confidence to work independently; initially in establishing a new service line, and over time in increasing the scope of the service line.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also vital for this role along with very strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.

- Having some previous exposure to process improvement and project management methodologies would be preferred and ideally experience with Financial Accounting and Risk Management concepts along with the ability to investigate business issues and identify technical root causes.
