Job Summary : We are looking for an experienced and motivated Head - Supply Chain Management to join our team. As Head of SCM, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy and in order to maximize efficiency and productivity. The incumbent will be responsible for daily operations of FTTH fulfillment across the country and keeping a health check of warehousing and logistics operations of all items related to FTTH infrastructure - ONUs, OLTs, SFPs, Servers, Switches, etc. Key Responsibility Areas : - Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy - Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain for all FTTH equipment - Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain. - Suggest solutions for process improvements - Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and at field locations. - Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to ensure no stock outs. - Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company. - Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes. - Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution. - Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions. - Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments - Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner - Train and evaluate others - Provide constructive feedback Candidate qualifications and competencies: Behavioral competencies: - Critical thinking and problem-solving skills - Good time-management skills - Adaptability to uncertainty - Business processes, planning and organizing skills - Great interpersonal and communication skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong supervisory and leadership skills Functional Competencies: - Operations Management - Hands on experience with supply chain management software - Project management - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Professional Experience/ Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. with minimum 15 years experience in SCM or MBA/PGDM with 6-8 years experience in SCM.
