ODC (Out Door Catering) Events Manager -
The Role
Event Planning and Coordination:
- Plan, organize, and coordinate various events such as weddings, corporate functions, festivals, and other outdoor gatherings.
- Generate leads, follow up on inquiries, and convert prospects into clients and Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion within the events and catering industry
- Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements, preferences, and budget constraints.
- Develop event concepts, themes, and timelines, ensuring all aspects are executed smoothly.
2. Catering Management:
- Oversee catering operations for outdoor events,
- Manage inventory, procurement, and storage of catering supplies in collaboration with the factory and operations team,
- Ensure efficient staffing levels during events, including hiring and training catering staff as needed.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to arrange necessary equipment, decor, and facilities for events.
- Manage logistics including venue selection, transportation, and ad hoc arrangements if needed.
3. Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences to deliver exceptional service.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the event planning and execution process, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Provide personalized recommendations and solutions to enhance the client's event experience.
4. Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for events and catering services, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and maximize value.
- Monitor expenses, revenues, and profitability, providing regular reports to management.
Skills and Competencies:
- Graduation/Post Graduation in Hotel Management or MBA in Sales and Marketing from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 University or equivalent Professional Qualification.
- Minimum 5-8 years of celebrated event planning, catering management, or hospitality management, preferably in outdoor settings for top players in the industry.
- Spearheading the initiatives to strategize and develop the channel to achieve target Sales and grow the Events and ODC networks.
- Study and plan for market development plans to achieve the desired business growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong networks in the Retail, Hospitality, F&B and FMCG industry.
- Exceptional Interpersonal skills and negotiation techniques as per the industry requirements.
