Nature of Job : Permanent

Location: Mumbai

Job Title : Research Associate / Senior Research Associate

Our research teams generate investment ideas and then market those ideas to institutional investors, hedge funds, and our own internal sales force and traders. The associate will provide analytical support to a highly rated Strategy team and interact with the relevant teams in our global offices. The associate's responsibilities will include:

- Collating data and performing analysis

- Creating and maintaining information on databases, etc.

- Working on financial fundamental and macroeconomic indicators

- Monitoring, analyzing, and commenting on day-to-day happenings across regions and markets with the aim of identifying and highlighting key trends

- Keeping the team abreast with key investment debates

- Contributing to weekly thematic reports and generating investment ideas

- Working with the Sales team to respond to client requests, both internal and external, including tailored and bespoke requests

Skill Set Required : 

- Ability to understand and analyze economic and financial data

- Excellent skills in data manipulation and interpretation

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Experience working on data stream

- Strong Excel skills

- Ability to synthesize research findings

- Ability to write summary reports

- Knowledge of VBA and statistical analysis tools will be an added advantage

- Interpersonal skills

- Strong communication skills - written and verbal (principally telephone)

Education and Experience

- B.Tech; CFA (AIMR, USA) would be preferred

- 1- 5 years of financial / industry experience; any experience in strategy will be a plus

- Strong academic record, quantitative skills, and an interest in understanding financial markets
