General research assistance for the economics team, which provides macro research for use the end clients and by the internal equity and fixed income sales team at the client's end who would use this information to advise and direct their clients in managing their various portfolios.   In addition, the position will involve helping the team to update some of its regular research products  Education & Experience :  - Post Graduate Degree in Economics & statistics/Econometrics or MBA in Finance with a strong interest in economics.   - 3-8 years of working experience as an economist to include conducting or at least contributing to econometrics and applied macroeconomic research projects.  - Strong background in macro and international economics   - Excellent Statistical Understanding  - Practical experience in Time Series Analysis  - Strong Writing Capability  - Strong Communication Skills  - Knowledge of SPSS,METLAB, EView & R
