Role for Equity Research in Indian Infrastructure and power sector Job description : An onshore role (based out of Client location) supporting sell-side research analysts (institutional equities) of a leading global brokerage house that provides equity broking, corporate finance, capital markets, and asset management services to global corporate and institutional clients - Collect and analyze financial data using online and other data sources, such as Bloomberg and Reuters - Build historical financial models and provide forecasts - Develop company operating metrics based on relevance in different sectors/companies - Conduct extensive company valuation using discounted cash flow (DCF) model, dividend discount model (DDM), trading and transaction multiples, EVA, etc. - Provide support in initiating coverage reports, sector reports, and theme-based reports - Summarize investment conference calls - Develop roadshow presentations - Manage ad-hoc research requests based on client requirements Skill Set Required : - Strong accounting and financial skills - Good financial modeling skills and ability to manage large database and work through them - Good analytical skills and strong sense of ownership - Basic knowledge of macroeconomic aggregates and regression analysis - Ability to ensure timely completion of tasks - Ability to identify proactive ways to contribute to the company's goals and mission - Knowledge of databases (such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Capital IQ) and other financial data systems - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Proficiency in MS Office Education and experience : Education : CA degree (in first attempt); CFA degree (added advantage) Experience : 0-2 years in equity research in Infrastructure and power sector Compensation : To be decided on a case-by-case basis, pegged with the best in the industry.
